Man Shall Not Live By Bread Alone

Matthew 4:4 WEB, But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”

This, Jesus said to the tempter, the devil, when he told him to turn rocks into bread.

How can we live by what comes out of the mouth of God, if we do not know His voice?

Jesus said, in John 10:27-28 KJV, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

This voice Jesus was talking about did not come from a man. This voice did not come from a book. This voice he was talking about came forth from the living God.

And again in John 10:5 KJV, And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

So how do we begin to know the voice of our heavenly Father? God, our father is talking, but is He talking to us? If He is, how do we learn to know His voice?

Passover 2024

Passover, what is called Communion today, commemorates the event recorded in Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt.
This year Passover begins on Monday, April 22nd, 2024, at sundown.

So why should I care about the Passover season since that is the Old Testament and we are living according to the New Testament?

In Exodus 12:1-20, it talks about how they were to kill the Passover lamb and put its blood on the door post of their homes. The lamb was to be roasted with fire and all of it eaten before morning.

Jesus kept this Passover feast as directed by the commandment of God, Luke 22:14-20. All this he did to signify, that by his death, that he now was our Passover lamb, and his blood would keep death away from our home or temple (us).

The importance of these two events, represents the deliverance of mankind from the bondage of Egypt (sin).

So, when we eat the Communion supper, we are testifying naturally, that we are spiritually eating daily of our Passover Lamb (the bread of life) Jesus Christ and drinking of his blood (the Holy Spirit).

Our only hope of salvation is to understand why Passover and Communion, which are one, are so important to our daily lives.

That is why we hold the Passover\Communion once a year, to coincide with the Passover that Jesus took. Giving it the importance and reality it holds in our spiritual walk with Jesus.

The Resurrection

This past weekend the world celebrated a holy day, called Easter. It is meant to bring back to remembrance the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and of course the easter bunny. The word easter comes in part from the word Eostre, or Eostrae, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility. This is the Easter the world honors. The enemy will and has done all in his power to water down and hide the true purpose of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Some focus on the Resurrection, some on the easter bunny, and some on both.
But God commanded only one day to be a memorial (Holy Day) forever. The true Holy Day began with the night the Lord God of Israel passed over the children of Israel; the night He killed all the first born of the Egyptians. This last mighty plague convinced Pharoh, King of the Egyptians, to let God’s children go to serve Him.

Jesus did not partake or hold to any day called Easter. Jesus partook of Passover as commanded by his father. He ate of that Passover lamb as instructed in Exodus the 12th chapter. That same lamb, which he would become for all mankind, after his death and resurrection.

As our Passover lamb, if we eat and drink of him, death will have no strength or sting. Sin will not rule in our lives, and we will resurrect as he did into life everlasting.
Romans 6:5-7, For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

This is why we eat of the unleavened bread, which is his body, the body of the Passover Lamb, and drink the cup of the wine, which is his blood. The blood that covers us and protects us from the angel of death.

The true day of Passover Communion, which is in April, is fast approaching. 1 Corinthians 5:7, Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

THE ARMOR OF GOD, Part 3

Sword of the Spirit. Sword, a weapon that consists of a long straight or slightly curved blade. Spirit, the movement of something. The sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon in the Armor. A sword is in constant movement when it is being used and it is held out front leading us into battle.

Just like the Sword, we must be led by the Holy Ghost every day. By being led by the Holy Ghost we are destroying the enemy. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God, Romans 8:14. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you, Luke 10:19.

The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace. Shoes, a covering for the human foot. Peace, a state of mutual harmony between people or groups.

Shoes protect your feet which is the foundation of your body. They may not seem like much but try running across gravel in your bare feet. All you focus on is what you’re stepping on. With the protection of shoes, we can focus on where we are going and not what we are stepping on.

The Gospel is meant to be taken into all the world not just in one area. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it, 1 Peter 3:11.

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness, James 3:18.

THE ARMOR OF GOD, Part 2

The Belt of Truth. Belt, a band of material for encircling the waist. Truth, the true or actual state of a matter. A belt supports our clothes. Without it our pants have no support and could fall. God’s truth supports us and prevents us from falling when we are fighting. A belt surrounds the entire waist and just like a belt, God’s truth must surround us in everything we do.

Shield of Faith. Shield, a piece of armor that is carried on the arm and is used as a defense. Faith, confidence or trust in a person or thing. The shield is probably the most important of all the armor. When used the enemy’s attacks will be blocked and not touch you.

Faith will stop the enemy from taking over your life. Faith is a shield because all the right ways of God come by Faith. Faith is the Lord revealing something to you and then you are putting into action what he shows you.

When exercising this, the enemy will try and strike but will be blocked. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith, Romans 1:17.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Hebrews 11:1.

THE ARMOR OF GOD Part 1

Ephesians 6:13-17, Helmet of Salvation. Helmet, A form of protective head covering. Salvation, the act of saving and protecting. The helmet is used to protect our head. The mind controls all of the body and it controls everything we think, say, and do. Jesus is our salvation and so in order to ensure our salvation we are to put on the helmet. By doing this we are putting on the mind of Christ. We do this to protect our minds from the enemy trying to take over and rule in our life. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ, 1Corinthians 2:16. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1Thessalonians 5:9.

Breastplate of Righteousness. Breastplate, A piece of plate armor covering the upper body area. Righteousness, acting in an upright or moral way. The Breastplate is used to guard the chest area. The chest contains the heart. When Jesus is ruling in us, he does it from our center (heart). So, by putting on the breastplate and following after righteousness, we are protecting our heart from the enemy getting in and causing us to follow the ways of the world (sin). For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, 2Corinthians 4:6. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2Timothy 2:22.

Are There Few That Be Saved

Someone ask Jesus, Lord, are there few that be saved?
Jesus answered in Luke 13:24-27, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. …and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

And again, Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1 Peter 3:20, Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Matthew 22:14, For many are called, but few are chosen.

Road Signs

Many religions are like road signs and billboards; they all have a message and state that their message is the true way to salvation.
But for true salvation, Jesus said in Luke 21:25-28 KJV, And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
So do not look to the right or to the left but lift up your eyes to heaven, there is where your salvation or deliverance or redemption will come from.
Proverbs 4:25-27 KJV says, Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Salvation does not come from man, it comes from our Father, who sent His Son, that we might have life everlasting.

Living Waters

My people have done two things wrong. They have abandoned me, the fountain of life-giving water, and they have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that can't hold water.

If you only knew who the gift of God is, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

Everyone who drinks natural water will become thirsty again. But those who drink the living water that I will give them will never become thirsty again. This living water I will give them will become in them a spring that rushes up to eternal life.

Jesus was standing in the temple courtyard, and he cried out, whoever is thirsty must come to me to drink. Streams of living water will flow from deep within each person who believes in me.

Jesus said this about the Spirit (the Holy Ghost), whom those that believe on him would receive. The Spirit was not given to mankind yet, as the Comforter would come on the scene after Jesus had been glorified.

All must turn to God and change the way they think and act (repent), and each of us must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that our sins will be forgiven. Then we will receive a gift from God, the Holy Spirit (Comforter).

This promise belongs to us and to our children and to everyone who is far away. It belongs to everyone who follows God’s instructions.

This gift is greater than all the diamonds, gold, and money in the world. It is the fountain of Life Eternal.

Back To The Light

The 20th century ends with spiritual darkness that covers the earth. The Christian world is running rampant with confusion concerning the deliverance of mankind. Thousands of orders have risen confusing the doctrine of God. There is complete silence. The light has gone out. How Do We Get Back to The Light?

It all begins in Philippians 1:27, striving for the faith of the gospel. Jude 3, "…Ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Hebrews 11:1, makes it plain that faith is not the written word (the bible). Hebrews says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

What has been lost is individuals hoping for the unseen substance, so that this evidence would appear to each individual. This would put them in communion on a one-to-one basis with their creator. He only can deliver them out of darkness unto the glorious light of the true gospel. Hebrews 10:16; can then come to pass, "…I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them." God will bring back into view that which was hidden, HIGHER VISION for the 21st century and beyond, until Jesus comes.

All those that will obey the first commandment as Jesus said, Matthew 22:37-38; "…with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind…," will set a standard for higher vision, and begin to eat from the Tree of Life

What is Love?

Love is more than hugs and kisses.

Love is more than forgiveness and mercy.

Love is guidance and correction.

Those whom God loves He corrects many times.

A parent who does not correct their child, does not love that child.
Psalms 23:4, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

How does the rod and staff of the Lord comfort us?

They protect, guide, and correct us.

Without guidance and correction, a child is lost. The child is in the care of its parents (shepherds) to be protected and shown what to do. When the child does not follow the direction of its parents, then correction follows to show the child the error of its way.

If God does not correct us, how would we know that we are not walking according to His will?

There is the love of the world and there is the love of God. The love of the world is a mingled love (impure). The love of God is a pure love.

So, when we are corrected by Him, we should rejoice because His correction leads us to a more perfect walk with Him and the whole family of God.

How wonderful are the feet of those who walk in peace. They are the ones who did not faint at the correction of God but were thankful and embraced it; knowing it would bring the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Proverbs 3:11-12, My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

How wonderful it is to have someone who cares for you.

No one wants to be left alone, allowed to do whatever they please. They want someone to care for them and be concerned when they are on the road to destruction.

What would life be like if no one cared whether you lived or died? It would be scary.

My God loves me, and I truly know, because He corrects me when I am wrong, when I am heading down the wrong path.

You know that song “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so?”

It should go, Jesus loves me this I know, because He personally shows me so.

The bible tells of the love He showed others. His love for you is not made known in a book, but by His interaction with you on a daily basis.

As Jesus did, so we also must learn obedience by the things we suffer.

Correction is not easy, but it shows the way to salvation.

Chores

Growing up I always found it easier to help someone else out with their chores or fixing something or cleaning as they needed, but my to-do list at home was always at a standstill.

The world floods us with requests for help or money for the sick, the hungry, or abused, for adults, children, and even animals. All these things should and do touch our hearts.

But our care for the world and its needs should not become greater than doing the chores that God has given us to do within His household.

The first responsibility we have as children of God is to shine as lights in a dying world full of the works of flesh.

All our labor, time, and effort in God, should be towards that which is eternal.

John 6:27, Labour not for the meat which will perish, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him has God the Father sealed.

As ambassadors of Jesus Christ, we share the Gospel of Hope which shows our labor of love for those in need.

2 Corinthians 5:20, Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did plead with you by us: we urge you on Christ's behalf, be reunited with God.

Luke 15:10, Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.

Giving to a cause is a good thing but giving the hope of salvation and deliverance though Christ Jesus, is priceless.

Blaming God

Why do we blame God when things go wrong? So many times, individuals or groups blame God when things go badly in their lives. Most say if there was a God why does he allow these things to happen. If that is who God is then I want nothing to do with him.

When things go wrong, God is the blame. When things go right, God is not glorified.
God has established rules, as any father and mother do, concerning their household.

When our parents say not to touch the hot stove and we do, do we blame our parents? If the speed limit says 50 miles an hour and we do 65 and get pulled over by the law, do we blame the law?

The answer seems simple enough. NO! Why? Because we created the problem by not obeying the law of our parents and society.

2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Because judgement is not speedily executed, it is continually in the hearts of man to do evil, Ecclesiastes 8:11.

Isaiah 42:1-4, Behold my servant… A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench…

Let’s quit blaming God and look at our actions to determine why these things are happening in our lives. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.

If Jesus Took Away All Our Sins?

Question: If Jesus took away all our sins, then what do we do with these scriptures?

1 John 1:8, says, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. How is this possible if Jesus took away our sins?

Paul said in Ephesians 4:26, Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

And again, in James 4:17, it says, Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

I am a little confused. Did Jesus really take away our sins, or only for some people?

Paul states in Hebrews 10:26, For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

How can I willfully sin if Jesus took all my sin away?

Romans 6:12 says, Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

In 1 Corinthians 15:31, Paul says, I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. If there is no sin, then what was Paul dying each day to?

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Maybe we really need to know what this means?

If Jesus came and took all our sin away, how is it possible that you or I can still sin?

If all the oxygen is taken away from our planet, could we still breathe?

A Godly Soldier

2 Timothy 2:3-4, Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Entangle: to get caught up in something. In this case, the affairs of this life.
Affairs: events or business of a person, place, or thing. In this case, the world we live in and its concerns, such as politics, religion, government and the such. As pilgrims in the countries, we live in, we are only passing through and have no part in these things being citizens of the country we seek.

Revelation 18:1-5, And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

The Lord is reminding us that we must be focused on the work that He has sent us to do. For the harvest is ready and time is short.

The world cannot be changed by carnal means, only by the move of the Holy Ghost.

Don't be like Lot's wife, who on the day of deliverance, was more concerned with the ways of this life than the commandment of God. The same God who came to rescue her. Receiving an immediate reward, God turning her into a pillar of salt because the desire of her heart was on the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Be a faithful soldier of Jesus Christ. Do not allow the enemy to persuade you to pause your fight to engage in worldly affairs.

Matthew 13:22, He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

John 15:19, If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

John 17:16, They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Colossians 2:8, Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

James 1:27, Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 4:4, Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

The Book of Revelation, the Book of Prophecy, the Book of our Salvation. (Part 6)

In Revelation 2:7, it says, “…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life…” As we learned in our last article, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is a step in overcoming. So, what is next?

Matthew 3:11, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he (Jesus) that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”

So not only does Jesus baptize us with the Holy Spirit, he also baptizes us with fire.

Mark 9:49, “For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.”

1 Corinthians 3:11-15, explains why, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”

1 Peter 1:7, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”

These four baptisms are necessary to bring you to the place you are overcoming so you can have access to the Tree of Life and live forever.

The Book of Revelation, the Book of Prophecy, the Book of our Salvation. (Part 5)

In Revelation 2:7, it says, “…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life…” The first step to overcoming is the Baptism of Repentance.

And as we learned in our last article, the Baptism in Water was the seconded step. All of these involve overcoming. Ok, is there anything else?

In Acts 2:1-39 it says, “…and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost…”

The baptism in the Holy Ghost.

Now this gift of the Holy Ghost is not given to a few, but to all that are grafted into the vine, our Lord Jesus Christ.

John the Baptist said in Mark 1:8, “I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.”

John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

So, we see here that the Baptism in the Holy Ghost is important because he the Comforter (Holy Ghost) will teach you how to overcome. If you follow the first two steps, then Jesus will baptize you with the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost in turn will lead you out of sin; making you an overcomer, thus giving you access to the Tree of Life.

Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

In Revelation 2:7, it says, “…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life…” The first step to overcoming is the Baptism of Repentance. So, what is next?

Acts 2:36-39, …”be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”

So, what is the Holy Ghost saying by the mouth of Peter here?

Romans 6:3-4, clarifies this for us. “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

We overcome by baptism in water. Water baptism is the outward testimony of a person, before witnesses, that they are spiritually burying (putting to death) the old nature (old man) just like Jesus did. In doing so, they can be resurrected as a new creature in Christ Jesus.

There is a lot of confusion around baptism how it should be performed. Should a person be immersed or sprinkled? What name if any should be used? Is baptism necessary to make it into heaven?

In answer to the question should a person be immersed or sprinkled? The word buried should answer that question. No one who is dead is sprinkled with dirt, we bury them completely under the ground.

The name to be used is perfectly clear. The Holy Ghost spoke through Peter and said, “be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Is baptism necessary to go to heaven? YES! Don’t let anyone deceive you.

Let’s use the marriage of a man and woman to clarify this answer.

One of the requirements of marriage is, a man and a woman come before witnesses and declare the desire to make a binding contract to become one.
In doing so, the woman takes the name of the man, a symbol of being one.

When they are introduced to the witnesses, the person officiating the marriage introduces the couple as Mr. and Mrs. New Couple.

So, if your commitment in baptism is to Jesus Christ, then you should be buried (baptized) in the name of the one you are committing yourself to.

No contract is valid without witnesses. Those witnessing your baptism validate your commitment to baptism and who you’re committing yourself to in baptism.

So, the name of who you’re committing yourself to, (like when you get married) is very important to all those present.

Are you being buried with someone called Father, Son, Holy Ghost or are you being buried with Jesus Christ? If it is Jesus Christ, then his Name is to be used in your baptism.

Water Baptism is one more step in overcoming so you can gain access to the Tree of Life.

In Revelation 2:7, it says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” What do the churches need to hear? “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

The key word here is overcome. What does overcoming mean? To conquer or defeat something. What are we to conquer or defeat? SIN, the old, polluted nature we were born into. That thing that doesn’t want us to serve God or be like Jesus. That thing that does not want us to repent, or to be baptized in Jesus’ name, or to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues, prophesying, loudly praising our Father. Our true enemy that dwells within us.

So how do we overcome?

Acts 2:36-39, Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

So, to begin to overcome, so you can have access to the tree of life, you must repent of your sins, be baptized in the name or attributes of Jesus Christ so your sins can be remitted, and then you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The baptism of repentance is step one in overcoming, being sorrowful for your sins. John the Baptist preached repentance.

Mark 1:4, John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Matthew 3:5-8, “Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.”

Here John could see the true fruits of repentance coming forth from those wanting to be baptized; and those who did not display these fruits, he told them to go back until they were able to bring forth fruits, from their hearts, of being sorry for their sins.

In 2 Corinthians 7:9-10, Paul is talking to the church, saying, “Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

So, we see here that the baptism of repentance is the first step in overcoming.

Revelation 1:3 says, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

How do we hear the Spirit of God so we can keep the words of this book?

In Revelation 2:7, it says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” What do the churches need to hear? “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

The Spirit is saying we must overcome. By overcoming, we start to hear and are then able to keep the words of this book. And if you overcome you will be given access to eat from the tree of life that resides in the garden of God.

This tree has been there since Adam and Eve were removed from the garden of God when they sinned. This same tree is protected by cherubims with flaming swords to keep MAN away from this tree.

Genesis 3:24, “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”

Why did he do this? Genesis 3:22, “And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”

So we see here that the fallen nature, man’s current state is not allowed access to the tree of life, so that fallen nature can not live forever. It has been cursed to die. It is polluted. Nothing polluted is allowed in the Kingdom of God.

But we need access to this tree to be able to be saved from death. If we do not eat of this tree before we shed this house of flesh, then we will lose our lives forever, the second death.

The only way of escape is to eat of the tree of life to live forever. This tree is our salvation. Without eating of this tree, we will surely die in our sins.

Revelation 1:3 says, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Again, in Revelation 22:7, Jesus says, “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”

The message is clear. You are blessed if you are able to read and hear, and also keep the words written in this book of Revelation. Revelation 1:1 says that this is “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass…”

Are you keeping the words of this book?

How does one keep something if they don’t understand it?

Seven times in the first three chapters of Revelation it says, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” So how do we hear the Spirit?

Jesus said in John 16:13-14, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come…”

In Acts 2:1-39 it says, “…And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance... they were pricked in their heart, and said… what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost…”

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

If you can’t hear the Spirt of God how can you begin to hear and keep the words of this book?

Revelation 22:19, And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

SEEKING THE LORD

Deuteronomy 4:29-31, "If from there you will seek the LORD your God, then you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and soul. "In your distress, when all these things happen to you in days to come and you return to the LORD your God, then you will hear his voice. For God is compassionate. The LORD your God won't fail you. He won't destroy you or forget the covenant that he confirmed with your ancestors."

Seeking the Lord, what does that really mean? And are we doing it right now? Are we putting everything into seeking God with our whole heart, soul, body, life, and strength? If we are not, this is why things in our life are happening to us. We cannot serve two masters and I found out I was. The one master was not doing me any good at all was the one I was serving the most. The one I really needed was the one I ignored, except when I would need something or when I was in trouble.

1 Chronicles 28:8-10, Therefore, in the presence of all of Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and while our God is listening, observe and search through all of the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may continue to possess this good land, leaving it for an inheritance forever to benefit your descendants who come after you." "Now as for you, my son Solomon, get to know the God of your father. Serve him with a sound heart and a devoted soul, because the LORD is searching every heart, every plan and thought. He will be found by you, assuming you are seeking him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you forever. So keep watching, because the LORD has chosen you to build the Temple of his sanctuary. So be strong, and get to work!"

Here Solomon was chosen to build a house, a sanctuary of the Lord and he was to build it to the pattern that the Spirit had given him. He would not have been able to do that if he was not seeking after the Lord. He knew who the Lord was, and he knew what the Lord wanted because he sought the commandment of the Lord.

We have been chosen to build a house for the Lord, I'm talking about the temple of our body so God can have a place to live. He then placed everything in our temple so we can be ready. We can only receive life through HIGHER VISION, if we walk in what's being revealed, that's where life is. If we don't seek the lord, then we are lost and doomed.

2 Chronicles 15:2-7, so he went out to meet Asa and rebuked him: "Listen to me, Asa, Judah, and Benjamin! The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will allow you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you. Israel lived for years without the true God, priests to teach them, and the Law, but they turned to the LORD God of Israel in their distress. When they sought him, he let them become reacquainted with him. "During those days, it wasn't safe for anyone to come and go, because many civil disturbances afflicted everyone who lived in the territories. Nation battled nation, and city fought city, because God was afflicting them all with every kind of distress. Now as for you, be strong and never be discouraged, because there will be reward for your work."

How long have we been without the anointing, the teacher, of the Lord. How long have we served the other master and not seek not the real one, whose lifeblood gives us eternal life. Have we shut Him out, only call on him when we are in trouble or need something? It pays to be ready all the time, we don't know when something will happen. It is better to have a hedge around you and be protected in the arms of the Lord, then to walk in sin and death. There's only one way to serve God, and that way is obeying what he says.

2 Chronicles 19:3, Nevertheless, a few good things have been found in you, in that you have removed the Asheroth from the land and you have disciplined yourself to seek God."

Now we have to prepare our hearts to seek God. And how do we do that? The BAPTISM OF REPENTENCE has to take place in our heart first. We have to show repentance, sorrowing after God, showing Him we are sorry for the sin we are doing and the way we treat one another.

When repentance has worked in you then the next step to receive the Holy Ghost. From there, God will start to talk to us, if we seek him with our whole heart, soul, body.

2 Chronicles 30:18-20, Even though a large crowd of people from as far away as Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun had not completed consecrating themselves, they still ate the Passover in a manner not proscribed by the Law, because Hezekiah had prayed like this for them: "May the good LORD extend a pardon on behalf of (19) everyone who prepares his own heart to seek God, the LORD God of his ancestors, even though he does so inconsistent with the laws of consecration." (20) The LORD listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

2 Chronicles 31:21, Everything that Hezekiah began in the service of God's Temple was done according to the Law and to the commandments as he sought his God, worked with all of his heart, and became successful.

2 Chronicles 34:1-4, Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for 31 years in Jerusalem. He practiced what the LORD considered to be right, following the example of his ancestor David, turning neither to the right nor to the left. In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his ancestor David. In the twelfth year of his reign, he began to remove the high places, Asherim, carved images, and cast images from Judah and Jerusalem. They tore down the altars of Baals in his presence. He chopped down the incense altars that stood high above them. He broke into pieces the Asherim, the carved images, and the cast images, ground them to dust, and scattered the residue on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.

WHO'S IN HEAVEN?

Who goes to heaven after they die?
Is it those who never got to know the Lord or those that tried?
You must partake of the Lord eat from his table right now.
Walking and talking with him while on the earth showing a state of exercise.

The Lord we must not forsake but labor to enter in.
To the rest and peace of God perfecting ourselves in him.
Those that never cried out for forgiveness the Lord does not know.
Because God can only be known by those who have his Holy Ghost.

Faith has life it's unseen substance that you must receive from God.
It comes from heaven and it feeds you, it's where the Master trods.
Those who are filled with his Holy Spirit from on high.
Will overcome and humble down like a child they will cry.

Heaven is not a far-off place but it is right within your midst.
If you would labor to receive sacrifice to talk with him.
Let nothing get in your way and tune out the world.
In your secret place you can receive Higher Vision, his true word.

Nothing will be hidden his mysteries will open up.
Your heart poured out continually so he can fill your cup.
Those who walk in heaven are right here on this earth.
Don't let others deceive you into thinking you have no worth.

(Variance – Double-Minded)

Galatians 5:19-21, Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Jesus had just finish telling those in attendance the parable of the Sower and then he finished with these words: Mark 4:9, And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

When he was alone with his disciples, his disciples asked what this parable meant. Read it in Mark 4:11-13, And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

Judge for yourself: Do you have variance?

One sin that stands alone is variance. This sin shows itself in being double-minded. They that are double-minded cannot receive single-minded matters from God.

Read it in James 1:5-8, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

If you lack direction – Ask God!

James states purify your heart of double mindedness. How? By asking God, by craving for his answer and showing your concern by putting works to His answers.

James 4:7-8, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

All followers of Christ (the anointing) will receive ultimate third testament answers and will show God their works, so that He can open up the windows of heaven as stated in Malachi.

Malachi 3:8-12, Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Pay your Tithe of Time and receive the blessings from heaven that are so great that you will never be able to contain them. Begin to receive Ultimate third Testament works that will prove you are of God.

God delivers all individuals through signs and wonders – Read it! Begin to receive, to prove you are of God.

Romans 15:18-19, For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

God delivered them out of bondage of Egypt by signs and wonders. God is no respecter of persons. He will prove Himself to those that will give their heart over to Him in obedience.

You say and testify that you are a Christian? Quit saying it with your mouth in words and prove it by expressing Ultimate Third Testament works.

I sought the LORD

Psalms 34:4, I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Such beautiful words spoken from the heart. If only, we as God’s children would seek Him, so He can deliver us in this time of trouble.

The Lord our God says in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our land needs healing and we desperately need healing ourselves. Look around and see the great need for God’s people to draw close to Him. Do we serve a God that can deliver us or is He helpless to feel our pain?

If we serve a God that can deliver us then why isn’t he doing so? Prayer lists continue to increase.

So, it comes down to the word of the Lord given to Isaiah in 1:4, "Oh, you sinful nation! You people burdened down by iniquity! You offspring of those who keep practicing what is evil! You children who corrupt whatever they do! "They've abandoned the LORD; they've despised the Holy One of Israel; in their estrangement, they've walked away from me.

David said in Psalms 37:25, I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
