Darkness does not want any part of this light because it cannot control it.
 
This light produces life and who is it?  It is Jesus, the Word of God, which we receive when we are involved in Higher Vision.  Remember this, you only receive life when you take this light or life on.
 
In Job 18:5&6, it says the light of the wicked will be put out, and even the spark of his fire will not shine, and the light in his tabernacle will be dark.
 
Right in our center the light will not shine because of the wickedness inside our heart
 
In Proverbs 13:9, the light of the righteous will shine because they’re involved.  They want God and they prove it by setting their standard for Higher Vision, so they can receive light or life.
 
In Proverbs 24:20, there is no reward for the evil man but death in Hell.  His light will be put out, but there will be a reward for the righteous man and his light will shine.  Why? Because Jesus rules in him and his reward is eternal life.
 
Psalms 27:1-3, The lord is a light and salvation or deliverance to righteousness.  If the enemy comes in, they will stumble and fall because darkness, meaning your flesh, cannot overtake the light of Jesus.

Romans 3:23-25, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”
 
Faith in his blood is the right way.  His blood, which is the life-revealed food, that feeds the newly born as described in John 3:3-5. “…Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
 
Faith is introduced to each person, the same as milk is to each child born into the world. Faith is clearly explained in Hebrews the 11th chapter as hoping for your unseen spiritual food, food needed for your eternal survival. This is the only way to come out of sin and become a new creature!
 
Why won’t people listen and get involved in saving their souls? The answer is in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
 
Flesh is a covering, a barrier, keeping you from knowing the things of God. Death to the man of sin is the only thing that takes away this barrier, so that we can enter the presence of God.

Is baptism necessary for salvation?  YES! 1 Peter 3:21, “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”
 
Should baptism be applied by baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?  NO! These are titles not names.
Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Notice that Jesus said to baptize them in the name (singular), not names. 
 
Should baptism be applied by baptizing in the Name of Jesus Christ? YES!
Romans 6:3-4, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
 
From these scriptures alone, we see how important baptism is.

Now on to question three. Jesus commanded it in Matthew 28:19, go “baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” And Peter answered the crowd by the Holy Ghost in Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
 
Here you have two witnesses stating the same thing.  Jesus directed his disciples to baptize in the name and Peter said be baptized in the name.  What was this name? JESUS!
 
Acts 8:16, …only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 19:5, When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
 
Your baptism is a legal commitment between you and God. It is official when you seal it with a name, not a title.

Last time we determined the need for baptism.
 
Now on to question two. A common way to baptize is to baptize in the titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The scripture used is in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus directed his disciples to go “and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
 
Notice here that Jesus said to baptize them in the name (singular), not names.  And even though there are multiple scriptures explaining what this name is, many continue to baptize without ever revealing what the name of the Father and Son and Holy Ghost is.  Instead, they go against Jesus’ commandment and use titles instead of the name.  There is nowhere in all the scriptures stating to baptize in the titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Only in the name.
 
Your baptism is a legal commitment between you and God. No one making a legal agreement with you will accept a document you sign as father, mother, son, or daughter.  They want your legal name.  The legal – heaven recognized name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is JESUS.
 
Don’t be ashamed of that name.  Let everyone know who you’re being buried with in baptism. Shout that name to the house tops.

Should baptism be applied by baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost? 3. Or by baptizing in the Name of Jesus Christ?
 
Some believe that baptism isn’t necessary for salvation. Some hold to baptism in the titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Others believe in baptism the Name of Jesus Christ or Name of Jesus.
 
Baptism is a very serious act in one obtaining salvation and should never be taken lightly. Jesus, by commandment, in Matthew 28:19, directed his disciples to go “and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”
 
From this scripture alone, we see how important baptism is.  So, any one that says baptism is not important and one does not need to be baptized is making him or her self greater than Jesus.
 
Peter also, filled with the Holy Ghost, gave commandment that we should be baptized. Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
 
Paul, in Romans 6:4, explained why we are to be baptized: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

There are three questions that I am going to ask you.
For baptism to be sealed by heaven as official according to the commandment of God which of these three statements is valid or accepted by God?

  1. Baptism isn’t necessary for salvation.
  2. Baptism should be applied by baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
  3. Baptism should be applied by baptizing in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Howe, Missionary to the Indians in Canada. GOSPEL TENT MEETING of 1961. This Reserve had no Christians on it, but the very first night the Gospel was preached, one man gave his heart to the Lord and insisted on being baptized immediately.  We baptized him that afternoon, and the Lord filled him with the Holy Spirit.
 
One elderly Indian lady had a crippled left arm.  She said that she could not even lift a teacup. I felt led to rebuke and bind the spirit of infirmity, and the Lord instantly healed her crippled arm.  She demonstrated before a tent full of Indians that her arm was completely healed by lifting a heavy Oak chair with this arm and holding it at arm’s length.  She did this for several nights to show what God had done for her.
 
A man who had not opened his hand nor raised his arm for 25 years was healed by the stripes of the Lord after we rebuked the spirit of infirmity.
 
Four more were baptized in water on this Reservation of over 1,000 people, making a total of six in just a few days.
 
Several children were healed, as an epidemic of virus flu broke out which took the lives of children on several Reserves.
 
One little girl was healed of a sore which she had on her neck for two years.  The sore had been open and running for two years, and when we left there, the sore was completely healed.

<![CDATA[A REPORT ON GOSPEL TENT MEETING OF 1961]]>Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:48:31 GMThttp://gerusalem.org/articles-of-faith/a-report-on-gospel-tent-meeting-of-1961"0 Lord, how great are Thy works! and Thy thoughts are very deep." Psalm 92:5.
 
Near the middle of July, I left St. Paul for Lake St. Martin, Manitoba, Canada, to have Gospel meetings with the Indians in Canada, using a 30'x40' tent for this purpose.  I was towing a trailer behind my 1959 Rambler which contained the tent, stakes, poles, camping equipment, propane lighting equipment and supplies.  The Rambler and trailer were loaded very heavily.
 
We ran into a violent storm near the Canadian border and driving became difficult, so we spent the night in a small town near the border.  The Lord opened the way for me to witness to a man who operated a small hotel there and I’m sure the Lord sowed a seed in his heart regarding the Kingdom of God.
 
The next day we were on our way to Lake St. Martin and arrived there late that evening.  The following day, we got some Indians to help us erect the tent and by evening we were ready to preach the Gospel to the Saultex Indians.
 
One of the Indians furnished music for us by playing on a portable organ.  God began to move in the midst from the beginning.  As I preached in English to them, the Lord turned it into the Saultex language.  This was the second time this happened, for it had happened in June when I came to visit the Indians on this Reserve and brought clothing for them to use.  Several testified that I used perfect Saultex in my preaching.

One night as we were preaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and how necessary it was for them to receive the power of God in their lives with signs following the preaching of the Gospel, four young, white men came into the tent and sat down in the front.  They were truck drivers for a construction company that was graveling a road on the Reservation.

As I was preaching, someone came forward and informed me that they were bringing a young child for prayer right away as it had suffered a sun stroke and was unconscious.  The Indian pastor, whose name is George Beardy, held the child in his arms.  The child was so hot he could feel heat through his coat as he held it.  I could feel no pulse and it did not seem like the child was breathing.

As he held the child before me, I thought of what a challenge to what I had just been preaching.  For a moment I hesitated.  It seemed the child was more dead than alive.  Suddenly the Spirit quickened Luke 1:37 to me: “For with God nothing is impossible."  I laid hands on the child and began to pray.  The power of God began to fall on Brother Beardy and myself, and suddenly the child opened his eyes, smiled, and sat up in Brother Beardy’s arms - instantly healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ.  Matthew 8:17.

<![CDATA[Heart]]>Tue, 15 Oct 2024 00:46:37 GMThttp://gerusalem.org/articles-of-faith/heartHave you, like myself, lost a friend, or you felt crushed at heart, and ask, "God why did this happen?"  What now is our position, do we complain, justify ourselves, do we harden our hearts?

We have been studying the book of 1st Samuel and in chapter 15 God has anointed Saul the first King of Israel (God's nation).  King Saul disobeys God's command, but notice Saul does part of what God says, but not all.   Verse three God commands King Saul to destroy all, but as you read on he keeps the best of the animals and Agag the king of Amalek alive.

My challenge was do I choose to be like Saul, or David a man after God's heart.  Notice that both men were chosen of God, the same is for us and so we must examine ourselves and choose.

Remind me Lord I pray.  1st Samuel 12: 21-25, “And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.  For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.  Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:  Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.  But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.”

Faith - complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
 
Just like a list of ingredients are needed in order to make something such as a food of some sort or even make something you make or build; Faith has a list of ingredients that are needed in us in order for it to become alive within us.
 
Each ingredient must be applied for faith to be present in us. If one is missing then faith has no effect and is not in operation in our lives, despite what we might think. Once all of the ingredients are applied faith is in operation.
 
Faith is the end product needed in order to be pleasing to our Heavenly Father
 
Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
We must truly believe and seek the Lord out daily. This can only be done by faith. 
The following is the list of ingredients to obtain unto faith
 
1.The Holy Ghost
 
The Holy Spirit is a must if we are to have faith in our creator.  This is true because faith is a fruit of the Spirit. Read it in Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
 
Romans 15:13, Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
 
 
2. Hearing the Word.  (Jesus)
 
John 1:1-4, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
 
John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
 
 
Once we are filled with the Holy Spirit, God begins to talk with us. We will hear his voice. Read it in Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
 
To have this faith we need to be hearing what the word of God is saying to us. This is because when we hear the word of the Lord speaking to us, he is revealing to us and showing us things. He does things for us, brings healing and answers our questions, gives us knowledge on different things. If the Lord is not speaking to you, then you do not have faith.
John 10:25-27, Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.  But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
 
John 5:24-25, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
 
Those who hear the word of the Lord and believes on the Father will have everlasting life. They will not be condemned but they will go from being spiritually dead to alive in Christ. The time is now when the spiritually dead could hear his voice and have a chance for life.
 
 
3. Obedience (Works of Faith)
 
When we are obedient to the faith, we are doing exactly what the Holy Spirit is instructing us to do. We are working out our faith.
 
James 1:22, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
 
We need to be a doer of the word. How do we do this. We listen and do whatever the word instructs us to do. If the Lord shows you to go and pray for someone then you do it. If he tells you something to say to that person, then you do it. You doing what is instructed of you is you being a worker of faith.
 
Some do not agree when it comes to works because they stated the scripture verse that states that its not by works.  What the Apostle was talking about was works of the law.
 
Ex., If I just be good enough then I can make it, or I’m a good person and I do not break any laws, I’m nice and help everyone. This is all work of the Law, and it has nothing to do with faith at all.
 
Galatians 2:16, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
 
Man is only justified or righteous by the faith of Jesus Christ. Jesus worked out his faith.  He healed the sick, raised the dead, taught individuals, cast out demons. He did many mighty wonderful works.
 
 
We are to work out our faith as well.
 
James 2:14-26, What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?  If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,  And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
 
Faith is not alive in us if we are not working it out. We must do the work that God has given us to do.  Working our faith is important because it shows others the power of God and what he could do in their lives.
 
1 Corinthians 2:1-5, And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.  And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
  
4. Standing Firm
 
When we stand firm in something we refuse to change a decision or a position. We must stand firm and not be moved.
 
Jeremiah 17:7-8, Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
 
 
We must stand firm in our faith by being like a tree that is planted by the rivers of the water. Not being moved no matter what comes our way.
 
1 Corinthians 16:13, Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
 
 
1 Peter 5:8-9 ISV, Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.  Resist him and be firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.
 
 When we resist the enemy, we are standing firm in Faith. We will not give in to what the world has to offer no matter how much we may suffer.
 
Philippians 1:27-28 ISV, The only thing that matters is that you continue to live as good citizens in a manner worthy of the gospel of the Messiah. Then, whether I come to see you or whether I stay away, I may hear all about you—that you are standing firm in one spirit, struggling with one mind for the faith of the gospel, and that you are not intimidated by your opponents in any way. This is evidence that they will be destroyed and that you will be saved—and all because of God.
 
 We stand firm in the faith by not being afraid of anyone who may be an enemy.  Those Who try and come against us for our faith in the Lord Jesus and won’t give up until we give in.
 
When these 4 main ingredients are added together and working in us, then Faith is alive in us. We see the results of faith in our lives working every day. We see it working on others.  The following are the results of faith.
 
Faith produces healing
 
Mark 5:25-34, And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?  And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.  And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
 
Matthew 8:5-10, And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,  And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.  And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.  For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.  When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
 
Faith produces righteousness
 
Romans 1:17, For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
 
 
Romans 3:20-22, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
 
Galatians 3:11 ISV, Now it is obvious that no one is justified in the sight of God by the Law, because “The righteous will live by faith.”
 
Faith gets Answers
 
When faith is working in us we can receive answers, whether it be a question, or problem in our life, whether someone we know is going through something and we want to know what to do.
 
Matthew 21:21-22, Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
 
Mark 11:24, Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
 
James 1:5-7, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
 
Faith brings salvation
 
When we use the faith formula and apply it to  our lives and watch it work we will see the salvation of God.
 
Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
 
1 Peter 1:3-9, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
 
Examples of faith in the scriptures
 
Hebrews 11:7, By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
 
Hebrews 11:17-19, By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
 
Hebrews 11:30-31, By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with
 
We can see by the example of the scriptures what faith can do in our lives. The only way that this can take place is to apply the faith formula
 
Spirit of God + Hearing the His Word + Obedience + Standing Firm = Faith

But if we look at Jesus who's sitting at the right hand of the father, why is he there? Until all his enemies be made his footstool.

And if the battle was over and won, then Paul wouldn't talk about putting on the whole armor of God. Why do we need this armor? To fight against the enemy. All this shows that the battle isn't over.

So the battle is still out there. The battle is still going on.

The battle won’t be won until sin is conquered in every brother and sister in Christ Jesus.

Those who belong to the family of God, who are led by the Spirit of God, are in battle until the old nature is destroyed in them as it was in Jesus.

So put on the whole armor of God and pick up your cross daily and follow his perfect example.

Destroy that enemy (flesh, the old fallen nature) and hang him on your cross.

God is! Prove him out. Your deliverance for restoration begins with God revealing Himself to you by rewarding you.  He will bring you out with Great Substance. The following instructions will bring it to pass.  Exercise the words of this messenger and you will prosper to know God Is.
 
1. Go into the presence of God; raise your hands with outstretched arms towards heaven in total surrender; align your heart accordingly.

2. Begin to empty your heart out in confession of need, with strong crying, until your vessel is empty; your tears will be no more.

3. Then make your request known unto God from your heart. Keep repeating it until you experience a peaceful warm burning heat saturating your body. This will be a sign your petition is granted.

(Note) Remember God is a consuming Fire and the warm burning heat will consume all doubt and destroy the destructive work that has caused the problem. You must practice this command from God until you are aligned as Jesus stated, with all your heart, soul and mind with no ill feelings towards another.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
 
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth.
 
Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
 
1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
 
Some very sobering and strong words from the Apostle Paul.  Who are we associating with?
 
1 Corinthians 10:20-21, But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
 
From Paul's letter here to the assembly at Corinth, some thought they were older and more mature than they really were.
 
But Paul, being an adult in Christ could see that they were not ready to receive spiritual things.
 
As much as a child tries to convince a parent otherwise, an adult can see that a child is not ready for something, even though the child may insist they are.
 
That is why there are elders in the body of Christ.  Through maturity they are able to determine a child's ability to do something.
 
When a child does not listen to wise counsel and rebels, they are showing their immaturity.
 
We may not like what our parents tell us, but if we hold steady, we will in due time obtain to maturity.
 
Those who run away from home will hopefully in a future time, get hungry and desire the comforts of home, like the prodigal son.  Luke 15:11 - 32.
 
Repentance is the beginning of maturity.
 
Allow God to instruct and prepare you for maturity.
 
All must come under the hand of God to be instructed. The Bible of nature backs this up.
 
He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit of God is saying to his called Temples.

Well now this is something you don’t hear every day.  When was the last time you heard a leader in the church tell you that you need to be a cyclops?  This one-eyed creature is used by the world to portray an evil being.  When you see one you should run.

But that is the natural man’s view with his natural understanding.
So, let’s look at this spiritually.  Jesus said in Matthew 6:22, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

And his words are repeated in Luke 11:34-36, The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.  Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.  If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

So, to see God as he really is, we need to be like a cyclops, with one eye, a spiritual eye.  If we do, we see him in full light and not in darkness.  We see him as he really is.

What if we do not see him with one eye and instead see him with our natural two eyes?  Then we can’t truly see him, because the light we are using to see him is darkness.

Desire to see like the cyclops, with one eye, a single eye, a spiritual eye.

He that has ears to hear, let him hear with singleness of eye.

Two, by the community a person is a part of.   Three, by a religious group or groups.  Four, by God’s standards.

One of the common statements made by most religious people is that you cannot be perfect.  This statement is both true and false.

How is that possible?

Well, we know that man fell in the garden of Eden and since that time all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  This natural man is stained and blemished and will never have access to the Kingdom of God.  This man was sentenced to death by this statement or law, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17. 

So, for the natural man there is no hope of perfection.

Yet, Jesus said in Matthew 5:48, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

How can we accomplish this if there is no hope of perfection for the natural man?

Again, Jesus gives us the answer in John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

And again in 1 Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

Psalms 78:35-41, And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.  Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.  For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.  But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.  For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.  How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!  Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

We need to examine David’s words in our lives today.  In this Psalms David points out in the last sentence: ”Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”  Are we limiting God?

Are we spending any time every day in prayer?  Are we submitting to His calling and doing the work set before us?  Are we all about the world’s business and not Gods’?  What does your day look like?  Do we understand that God can be in us and because of that we can do all things that God gives to us?

God’s own words say that he is limited, but only by us.  Because we are not submitting and praying, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us, He can not do His work.  

When God was leading the Israelites out of Egypt, He had a plan for them.  God was going to give them a country of their own.  They had to learn to trust Him.  They had to know Him.  God knew their hearts.  

The Israelites kept complaining.  They kept grumbling.  God heard their words and the words in their hearts.  Moses kept praying that God spare them.  Even though many died, God saved a remnant to go into Canaan; the land that became Israel.

What is God trying to accomplish now?  How much are we willing to suffer before we humble ourselves and pray?  Think of the time lost, to illness, hardships, and loss.  What could we do if we submit to God?  

Are we limiting God?

His desire each day is to talk and walk with His children. To interact with us personally.
 
He does not desire to talk to us through another person or by some other means.  He wants to talk to us one on one. He wants to be a part of our lives.
 
This is hard for the natural man to understand.  So, God sends someone by to attempt to reveal this to us, to make Him known to us, so that we can start the journey to learn to hear His voice.  Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and another they will not follow. 
 
God wants you to be one of His sheep, to be a part of His fold.  He wants to be your shepherd.  David said it so well in Psalms 23:1-3, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
 
It is so important to remember how much God loves us, so much that He sent His only begotten Son to be our living example of how to be a part of His family.
 
He wants to talk to you.  Get alone by yourself and just talk with Him.  Tell him how your day is going.  Ask Him to make himself known to you in a greater way. If you’re going through a problem, let Him know and what you need help with.
 
What if He never answers me?  As a little child does, keep asking and asking and asking until He answers.  Be still and listen for His voice.  He will talk with you within your heart, and you will know it is Him.
 
As with all things that you are unsure of, prove out what God is showing you.  You and you alone are the most important person in the world in God’s eyes.  He loves you dearly.

Matthew 24:37-39, But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Has the world taken over in your life?  The busyness.  The overwhelming desire to keep up with what it has to offer.  Has all this put you in a state of sleep?  Are you taking on the image of the world and casting off the image of God?  Has good become evil and evil become good in your eyes?  Has the god of this world persuaded you that the living God is not real or is evil?  

Jesus said that no one knows what hour he will return.  Are you ready?
Read Matthew 25:1-13.

Luke 21:36, Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Here is what Jesus said to the church in Sardis, Revelation 3:3, Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

I am thankful that the Holy Ghost is faithful to bring us back to soundness and truth.  That if there is any error, whether found in us or another, he gives us the opportunity to repent and come out of it, that our path may be secure in the way of the Lord.
 
Doctrine and sound doctrine are two different things.  One is whatever a man believes is truth and the other is tested, tried, and proven by a set of standards or weights and found to be sound.
 
Multiple groups claim their interpretation of the scriptures is the true interpretation.  But because they do not use a true weight or tape measure to verify their truth of the scriptures, you then have multiple groups and organizations who claim to have the truth.
 
How can one know which one truly holds the truth without some way to measure that truth?
 
We can never walk in the unity of the faith if we never sit down and agree on a standard to judge each scripture by. 
 
Secondhand information is distorted and cannot be considered the true word of God.
 
So, it is with the scriptures.  If you want to know the true spirit and scope of what is being said in the scriptures, you need to get it from the source.

Answer: The strength and surety of Salvation stands on four pillars or posts.

The first post or pillar is the Baptism of Repentance.  The second post or pillar is the Baptism in Jesus Name.  The third post or pillar is the baptism in the Holy Ghost.  And the fourth post or pillar is the Baptism of Fire.

Without these four pillars or baptisms there is no being saved or being born again.  Man does not control the process of salvation, God does.  The scriptures plainly lay out for us the process of being saved or born again.  Anyone who teaches differently is teaching a false doctrine.

Peter made it plain by the Holy Ghost that prophecy of scripture is of no private interpretation but dictated by the Holy Spirit of God, 2 Peter 1:20-21. Jesus stated in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…”

Here, Jesus plainly states that just because a person says they know him, even If they preach and prophesy in His Name, and cast out devils and do wonderful works of God, that does not mean He knows them.  All these works these men did, and still Jesus said I don’t know you, you that work SIN.
It’s not just about knowing the Lord, He must also know you.
 
A born-again person, has become a new creation through these baptisms.

I go to church; I am not in bondage to sin!  Here Jesus said if you commit sin, you’re a servant of sin.  Are you committing sin?  Do you sin?  If you do, no matter if you claim to be a Christian or not, you’re a sinner and a servant of sin. 
 
Acts 2:38-39, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”
 
Here Peter said you’re to be baptized so your sins start going away, not that they may continue. 
 
Has someone promised you that you are free, even though you sin?  2 Peter 2:19-22, “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning…  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”

Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
 
God made it plain in Ezekiel 18:4, “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
 
David explains to us in Psalms 11:5, that as we have a soul, so the Lord also has a soul. “The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”  We, being created in the image of God, like him, we have a soul.
 
In Deuteronomy 6:5, Moses says “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
 
After reading all these scriptures, what do the scriptures say the soul is?  If you still do not understand what the soul is, then get your concordance and look at all the scriptures with the word soul.  Let the Spirit of God reveal this to you.
